Virtual permit shift includes changes to reciprocal, event parking

Parking

Parking and Transit Services’ new virtual permit system includes updated options for access to lots for campus events and other University of Nebraska system campuses.

Instead of stickers in car windows, university parking permits are virtual and a license plate recognition system is being used for enforcement at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Learn more about the new system.

To park on campus during major campus events, including home football games, a permit event sticker must be displayed. The stickers are available at no cost upon request. To receive a sticker, permit holders should contact Parking and Transit Services at unlpts@unl.edu from their campus email account or by visiting the parking office at 625 Stadium Drive.

Permit holders who wish to access reciprocal parking at the University of Nebraska Medical Center or University of Nebraska at Kearney must request and display a permit validation sign. The sign can be requested by contacting Parking and Transit Services at unlpts@unl.edu from an official university email account or by visiting the parking office at 625 Stadium Drive.

To park at Nebraska Innovation Campus or the University of Nebraska at Omaha, permit holders must notify Parking and Transit Services and request being added to reciprocal visitor lists. Requests can be made by sending email to unlpts@unl.edu from an official campus email account.
