The images were published in Harper’s Weekly, Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Newspaper, the Illustrated London News and other historical sources. For more information, click here.

International Quilt Study Center and Museum

International Quilt Study Center and Museum will hold a Valentine’s Day card making activity using paper patterns based on quilts now showing in its “Favorites From the Byron and Sara Rhodes Dillow Collection” exhibition. The collection of quilts and fabrics include historically significant and dynamic American designs and international pieces. The Dillows, both graduates of the University of Nebraska, lived in Fremont, Neb. The family donated the collection of more than 250 quilts and 175 printed cotton fragments to the museum in 2008. Treats will also be available. For more information, click here.

Love Library

A student art display is the featured First Friday exhibition in Love Library, 5 to 7 p.m. The “College Art Showcase” is organized by the Art League, a UNL student organization. Student designers will attend the event and be available to discuss their art. For more information, click here.
