With the chill of winter weather at the front of mind and spring storm season approaching, Huskers are reminded that the University of Nebraska–Lincoln offers a system that issues alerts in the event of weather-related closures and campus emergencies.

Called UNL Alert, the system issues mass notifications via text messages and emails to accounts and devices designated by campus subscribers. Complete details about UNL Alert are available here. Students, instructors and staff can register for UNL Alert or update designated devices/accounts here.

Weather-related closings and emergency information will also be posted to the university’s main webpage, and primary Twitter accounts (@UNLincoln and @NebToday). Local television and radio stations are also notified in the event of weather-related closures.
