The campus community is invited to attend a special announcement of a $5 million gift to launch a new multidisciplinary center at the University of Nebraska.

The event will be 3 p.m. today, Sept. 16, at the Van Brunt Visitors Center, 313 N. 13th St.

Speakers will be University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds; Chancellor Ronnie Green; Jeff Raikes, former Microsoft executive and former CEO of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; Andrew Benson, W.W. Marshall Jr. Professor of Biotechnology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and Brian Hastings, president and CEO of the University of Nebraska Foundation.
