“Whitney” and “Three Identical Strangers” will show at Nebraska’s Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center through Aug. 16.

Both films opened at the theater Aug. 3.

“Whitney,” is an intimate, unflinching portrait of pop star Whitney Houston and her family, Using never-before-seen archival footage, exclusive demo recordings, rare performances, audio archives and original interviews with the people who knew her best, the documentary probes beyond tabloid headlines and sheds light on the spellbinding trajectory of Houston’s life and career.

“Whitney” is directed by Oscar®-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald. The film is rated R for language and drug content.

Surreal and surprising, “Three Identical Strangers” questions the nature of reality and identity.

The film takes place in New York, 1980 as three 19-year-old strangers discover that they are identical triplets who were separated at birth. The teens’ joyous reunion catapults them to international fame, but it also unlocks an extraordinary and disturbing secret that goes beyond their own lives — and could transform our understanding of human nature forever.
