The University Bowling League opens Sept. 11 at Hollywood Bowl, 920 N. 48th St.

All university employees, graduate students and spouses/partners are eligible to participate. Cost is $8 per week. Teams of four are preferred. Games are held 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Mondays through April 19 (except for three consecutive weeks in December).

The recreational league, which is designed to help forge friendships between participants, offers two games each week. No skill is required to participate. Top bowler each week receives a free beverage and prize funds are awarded at the end of the season.
