The Glenn Korff School of Music’s student-led opera will perform “The Tender Land” in three different cities across the state of Nebraska beginning Feb. 27.

Composed by Aaron Copland, the opera takes place in a Depression-era rural community and depicts the life of a young girl, her family and two migrant workers in a coming-of-age tale that reflects the hardworking spirit of the Midwest.

The production is made possible by a major gift from the James C. and Rhonda Seacrest Tour Nebraska Opera Fund.
