A student panel discussion on transnational feminism is 3:30 to 5 p.m. Feb. 15 in the Nebraska Union, Regency B.

“Translating Women, Translating Feminism in a Globalized World” will feature University of Nebraska-Lincoln global studies students Ayat Aribi, Cassy Ross, Zoë Hatfield and Cindi Izaguirre-Perez. Emira Ibrahimpasic, assistant professor of practice and assistant director of global studies at Nebraska, will moderate. The discussion is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The students will discuss what it means to be a feminist in the United States and abroad and how their feminism changed because of their international experiences.

The event is sponsored by the women’s and gender studies and global studies programs, as well as global engagement, political science, human rights and humanitarian affairs, communication studies, and modern languages and literatures.
