A retirement reception for Roger Spiehs, assistant director of procurement services, is 3:30 to 5 p.m. May 3 in the 1700 Y Street Business Services Complex, Room 125.

Spiehs began his career with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1987 as an assistant manager and buyer for general stores. During his tenure, Spiehs has used his negotiation skills to procure a variety of products, including athletics team travel, office supplies and audio-visual equipment.

The reception is free and open to the campus community. Light refreshments will be served.
