Six Air Force ROTC cadets receive military commissions

Air Force, Army and Naval ROTC members recite the oath of office during the morning undergraduate commencement ceremony May 8 at Memorial Stadium. Some then changed into regalia to graduate with their colleges.

Six cadets in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps were commissioned second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force during private ceremonies May 13 and 14.

They will report to their Air Force or Space Force assignments this summer.

  • 2nd Lt. Zachariah Robert Bliss.

Bellevue:

  • 2nd Lt. Hunter Douglas Rausch.

Lincoln:

  • 2nd Lt. Brooks Michael Scott.

Naponee:

  • 2nd Lt. Parker Reid Janicek.

Plattsmouth:

  • 2nd Lt. Zachary Dave Ostrander.

Elsewhere:

Lee’s Summit, Missouri:

  • 2nd Lt. Calvin Tanner Focht.
