JoAnn S. Lighty will give a lecture at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in Jorgensen Hall as part of the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Pierson Graduate Seminar Series.

JoAnn S. Lighty will present a lecture as part of the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Pierson Graduate Seminar Series. The lecture will take place at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in Jorgensen Hall, Room 110.

Lighty is director of the Division of Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental and Transport Systems of the National Science Foundation, and professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Utah. Her lecture is titled “Overview of Research Opportunities at NSF and in the Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental, and Transport Systems Division.”

There will be an informal reception before the seminar at 3 p.m. in Nebraska Hall, Room W317. The lecture is free and open to the public.
