Video: Rebecca Roston on RFD-TV
Extreme temperatures during the growing season can wreak havoc on crops, and are becoming more common.
Researchers with the Center for Plant Science Innovation at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln are developing crops with greater resistance to heat, cold, drought and other climate extremes. Rebecca Roston, Raikes Professor of biochemistry, is working toward crop varieties with improved resistance to cold temperatures. Roston appeared on RFD-TV to talk about these efforts, and why they matter. Click the video above to watch.
