Pottery, print sales are Dec. 13-14

The Clay Club's fall sale and the Fine Art Photo Club's Print Sale will take place Dec. 7-8 in Richards Hall.

The School of Art, Art History and Design will host its winter pottery and print sales on Dec. 13 and 14 in Richards Hall.

Hours for the Clay Club sale are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 13 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 14.

Hours for the Print Sale are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 13 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 14.

The pottery sale will take place in room 118, and the print sale will take place in room 112. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted at both events.

The Clay Club Sale will include works of art created by graduate students, undergraduate students, alumni and faculty in the School of Art, Art History and Design, representing a broad range of aesthetics, techniques and concepts.

In addition to the sale, there will be a raffle of work donated by students, faculty and select local artists. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased either day for $1 each or six for $5. The club is also accepting canned and dry food for the food bank in exchange for raffle tickets. The drawing will be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 14, but winners need not be present to win.

Proceeds from the sale go to the artists, as well as help fund the Clay Club. The student-run organization brings in visiting artists to the community and sends students to national clay conferences.

The Print Sale will feature work by both graduate and undergraduate students working in both photography and printmaking.

Their raffle will include work donated by faculty, graduate students and alumni. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six tickets for $5. They are also accepting canned and dry food for the food bank in exchange for raffle tickets. The proceeds from the sale and raffle will help fund student attendance at conferences.
