The Percussion Collective will play Oct. 27 at Kimball Recital Hall.

The Percussion Collective, an international group of percussion’s most talented musicians, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in Kimball Recital Hall.

Artistic director and percussion luminary Robert van Sice, considered one of the world’s foremost performers of contemporary music for marimba, brings his unique approach to percussion chamber music onto the stage. Featuring players from Europe, Asia and the United States, the Percussion Collective represents the leading edge of innovation in concert conception and performance.

The Percussion Collective will perform a program that includes Seaborne, an immersive multimedia work that celebrates the beauty of our world’s oceans by Emmy Award-winning composer Garth Neustadter and videographer Kjell van Sice. They will also perform Steve Reich’s massive “Sextet.”

The performance is free and open to the public.
