Online instruction series continues with focus on running a hybrid classroom

UNL

The Center for Transformative Teaching will host a workshop titled “Teaching in a Flexible Hybrid Classroom” from 2-3:30 p.m. July 30 via Zoom.

Register for the workshop online to receive the Zoom link.

This fall, faculty face the challenge of determining how to teach a course in which some students are online and others are attending in-person. This interactive workshop will help faculty identify which aspects of a course are best delivered online versus in the classroom. It will also cover different considerations for balancing synchronous versus asynchronous interactions when determining how often to meet with a class.

Participants will come away from the workshop with a better understanding of how to choose among the different options for the fall, priming them to deliver courses that best serve their students.

The workshop is part of a month-long series of presentation for university instructors. The series, offered by the Center for Transformative Teaching, concludes with a July 31 discussion on grading and time management. Other presentations in the series are available for review online.
