Danielle Silsbee, 47, an office associate in the Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design, died Aug. 20 following a three-year battle with cancer.

Silsbee had been with the university since 2012 and also served as a clerical assistant in the Office of the University Registrar.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Chris, and children Brittany and Alex.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Aug. 25 at Southern Heights Presbyterian Church, 5750 S. 40th St., followed by a reception in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her children’s college fund (payable to Chris Silsbee with memo to education fund) or to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
