Nominations open for Chancellor’s Outstanding Contribution to Women Award

[University Communication]

Nominations are open for the Chancellor’s Outstanding Contribution to Women Award.

The Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women is accepting nominations for outstanding faculty, staff and students who have worked to create a climate that encourages female-identifying individuals to succeed at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. These efforts may come from an individual, organization or department within the institution.

To qualify for an Outstanding Contribution to Women Award, recipients must demonstrate a sustained and tangible impact on the campus community. Two awards will be given: one for faculty or staff members and another for students or student organizations. Recipients will be invited to attend the annual Women’s History Month Celebration on March 24, where Chancellor Ronnie Green will present them with their awards.

A complete nomination will include:

  • A nomination form
  • A nomination letter
  • Two additional letters of support from colleagues or those who can speak to the qualities that make a nominee deserving of the award

Additional supporting documentation may be included but is not required. Click here to submit nominations, which are due Feb. 25. Nomination forms, lists of past recipients and additional directions are available on the commission website. For more information, contact the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women at ccsw@unl.edu.
