Most students living on campus will move in on Aug. 21 and 22.

All students moving into UNL residence halls for the 2014-2015 school year are required to sign up for a move-in unloading time.

Students who are not required to be on campus Aug. 18 will move in on Aug. 21 and 22 as usual. Odd floors will still move in from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 21, and even floors will still move in the next day. However, there will now be a sign-in time that can be found on the housing website.

Those students who are in campus groups (such as band or for rush) required to arrive Aug. 18 are still requested to sign up for an unloading time.

Using their NU ID, students can select how many vehicles will be present on their move-in day, which building they will be staying at and the next available time slot.

The move-in changes were made to prevent congestion that can occur on move-in days, UNL housing officials said. The suites will also be especially challenging to move into this year with construction continuing in the vicinity.

The changes will also help move-in staff to know when to expect people, making move-in day more organized, officials said.
