Nebraska’s largest percussion event of the year

University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music is hosting Nebraska’ largest percussion event of the year April 1 at the Westbrook Music Building.

Registration costs $10 and begins at 8 a.m. Registration for Percussive Arts Society members costs $5. To attend only the evening concert, admission is $5.

The Nebraska Day of Percussion is open to all ages and will feature clinics on marima, marching percussion, concert percussion, Brazilian percussion and Taiko drumming.

The event will end with an evening concert at 6 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall featuring the guest artists.

This year’s artists include Escape Ten Duo, line upon line percussion trio, Matt Penland, Scott Shinbara, and Los Angeles based drumming group Taiko Project.
