The Executive Education program is offering four Power Lunches in February and March. The sessions will feature professional development presentations on solving business and leadership challenges.

The first will discuss how to lead teams through maximizing the leader’s and the team’s strengths. It will take place 11:30 p.m. Feb. 21 and each lunch will take place in Howard Hawks Hall at 14th and Vine Streets in Room 202.

The lunches will be open to all business professionals and students and are led by College of Business faculty members.

“Business professionals face complex challenges,” said Emre Unlu, director of executive education. “Our programs are carefully designed to provide practical tools which help our participants successfully tackle those challenges. These power lunches give a peek at what participants can expect in our full certificate programs.”

Three of the power lunches serve as primers for new professional development opportunities offered this spring. The following lunches will discuss adaptive leadership, leading from a military perspective and the balance between innovation and consistency.

The fourth lunch, led by Kevin Wesley, assistant professor of practice in management, provides a unique opportunity to learn leadership principles tested in complex environments such as military deployment.

Wesley will share from his experience as a Navy commander and apply his history to his ideas of contemporary leadership.

Each 90-minute session costs $49, including lunch and parking validation for the 14th and Avery parking garage.
