The University of Nebraska State Museum-Morrill Hall will offer free admission to all veterans and active military from Nov. 11-15, as well as a 10% discount on all gift shop purchases. A valid military ID must be presented to claim the offer.

A Blue Star Museum, Morrill Hall usually offers free admission to active military members and their families during the summer. However, due to the pandemic, Morrill Hall was closed for summer 2020. Museum leadership decided to offer free admission during the week of Veterans Day instead to thank military for their service.

“As we commemorate the contributions and sacrifices of current and former servicemen and women this Veterans Day, our museum is pleased to invite our active military and veterans to enjoy a complimentary tour of Nebraska’s natural wonders and culture,” said Susan Weller, director of the NU State Museum.

Those wishing to claim the free admission may do so by presenting a valid military ID at admission to Morrill Hall. A free military ticket is available for advance purchase here. Morrill Hall will still operate with timed ticket capacities and requires masks for all visitors over age 3.
