MFA thesis exhibitions open April 1

Six graduating Master of Fine Arts students from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History and Design will present their thesis exhibitions in the Eisentrager•Howard Gallery in Richards Hall, April 1-19.

Each show will be on display for one week, with two simultaneous shows per week. General hours for the exhibitions are weekdays, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. However, each student is required to meet with their examination committee. Due to the scheduling of these meetings, the gallery will be closed during these times. Please refer to the schedule below for specifics:

  • April 1-5, Lindsey Day and Nicholas Sheldon, artist talks on April 5 in Brace Laboratory room 206 at 5 p.m., reception following in gallery; gallery closed 3-4:30 p.m. April 1 and 1-3 p.m. April 2.

  • April 8-12, Kat Cox and Mallory Trecaso, artist talks April 12 at 5 p.m. in Richards Hall room 15, reception following in gallery; gallery closed April 10.

  • April 15-19, Iren Tete and Erik White, artist talks April 19 at 5 p.m. in Richards Hall room 15, reception following in the gallery; gallery closed 3-4:30 p.m. April 17.

Named in honor of retired art faculty James Eisentrager and Dan Howard, the gallery is located on the first floor of Richards Hall. Admission is free and open to the public. Hours are 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Learn more about the gallery.
