A celebration of life for Joan Giesecke, dean and professor emeritus of University Libraries, is from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 10 in Love Library, Room 221.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will include light refreshments and the opportunity to share memories of Giesecke, who died Oct. 9. Sharing of memories will begin at 4 p.m.

Giesecke spent 25 years with university libraries, including 16 years as dean.

Donations may be made to United Way/Women in Philanthropy or the Lincoln Food Bank’s backpack program.
