Med Center rink open to faculty, staff, students

Admission to the UNMC ice rink is free for all University of Nebraska students, faculty and staff. It is open Nov. 30 to Feb. 10.

Admission to the UNMC ice rink is free for all University of Nebraska students, faculty and staff. It is open Nov. 30 to Feb. 10.

Access to the University of Nebraska Medical Center ice rink is open to all university students, faculty and staff.

The rink, located between 40th and 42nd streets and Dewey Avenue and Emile Street in Omaha, is open Nov. 30 to Feb. 10. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays and Mondays; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Admission is free to all university employees, students and dependents. Individuals from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln can gain admission by presenting a current NCard.

When the weather is consistently above 50 degrees Fahrenheit or wind chill is below zero degrees, the rink may be closed. It will also be closed Dec. 24 and 25.

Public admission to the rink is $7, which includes skate rental. Payment is by cash or credit card only.

Free parking is available in Lot 15, a surface lot on 40th Street and between Dewey Avenue and Emily Street.
