March 8 Dish It Up to explore Solidarity with Ukraine

Stand with Ukraine

Students, faculty, staff and Lincoln community members discuss the attacks on Ukraine during a panel discussion on March 1 in the Nebraska Union. The university's Dish it Up series will expand on the discussion in a March 8 Zoom session.

The Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services, in collaboration with the International Student and Scholar Office, will host a special edition of Dish It Up to discuss “In Solidarity with Ukraine,” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 8. The event will be offered via Zoom.

Dish it Up is an interactive weekly conversation put on by OASIS where individuals can share their personal views, learn from others, and engage in civil discussions concerning current events, topics affecting students’ lives, the community, and national/international happenings.

The March 8 discussion will focus on providing context to the attack on Ukraine, history and events leading up to the attack, while also providing student, staff and community support. Registration to the event is required.

Panelists include Courtney Hillebrecht, Samuel Clark Waugh Distinguished Professor of International Relations and director of the Forsythe Family Program on Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs; Regina Werum, professor of sociology; and Erika Hepburn, interim assistant director, International Student and Scholar Office.
