Libraries shift hours in response to COVID-19

In response to COVID-19, the University Libraries have adjusted hours and announced some closures effective March 17.

Three facilities — Love Library, Adele Hall Learning Commons and the Marvin and Virginia Schmid Law Library — will remain open to serve the campus community. The University Libraries’ Media Services unit will remain in operation through 8 p.m. March 20 and all other University of Nebraska–Lincoln library locations are closed until further notice.

Other library-related closures include the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities and Dunkin’ Donuts.

The University Archives and Special Collections, located in the basement of Love Library, will be open by appointment only.

Hours of operation for Love Library and the Adele Hall Learning Commons are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and closed Saturday and Sunday. At this time, the Law Library will maintain its normal operating schedule.

The majority of the University Libraries’ resources and services continue to be available online. Those services include retrieval request for physical printed materials in the university collection. Delivery and interlibrary loan services cannot be guaranteed due to the widespread impacts of COVID-19.
