LGBTQA+ History Month breakfast is Oct. 14

National and local guidance from health officials has allowed University of Nebraska–Lincoln officials to dial back COVID-19 protocols requiring mask use and social distancing on campus.

The Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Gender and Sexual Identities will host a LGBTQA+ History Month breakfast from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Oct. 14 in the Cather Dining Center, Red Cloud Room. The event, which is free and open to the campus community, requires an RSVP.

The event will include a conversation with Teresa Ewins, Chief of Police with the Lincoln Police Department.

Sponsored by the commission and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the event is intended to become an annual tradition on campus, giving the LGBTQA+ community an opportunity to come together as friends and colleagues to celebrate.
