Lecture to cover theories of time travel and comic book physics

Dan Claes will present “Comic Book Physics 101: Time Travel” at 7 p.m. March 4 in Love Library, Peterson Room. The talk is free and open to the public.

Claes will reference comics including “Days of Future Past,” “Convergence,” “Avengers Endgame” and the entire second season of CW!’s “The Flash.”

Theories of time travel will be discussed, talking about questions such as; What do the theories of Special Relativity and General Relativity have to say about the possibilities? How does the Quantum Realm figure into any of this?

Claes is a professor and chair of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Department of Physics and Astronomy.
