Vickie Sakurada Schaepler, with the help of the Department of Modern Languages and Literature, will present “Saving a Legacy: Japanese History in Nebraska” from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Nov. 12 via Zoom.
Attendees will hear about early Japanese immigrants, the effects of World War II and the changing laws of Nebraska that impacted their lives, including recent connections to Japan. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
