Jockers to talk about ‘Bestseller Code’ research

Matthew Jockers, Susan J. Rosowski associate professor of English and associate dean for research and global engagement, will speak Nov. 2.
Kick off National Novel Writing Month with a discussion about creativity, analytics and trends in the New York Times bestseller list with Matthew Jockers, co-author of “The Bestseller Code: Anatomy of the Blockbuster Novel.”
Jockers will discuss the research behind the book at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 2 in Bailey Library at Andrews Hall.
The book brings fresh new insights of fiction works.
This discussion is supported by data taken from a five-year study of 20,000 novels.
