Juanita Jackson-Stoner, executive assistant to the assistant and associate vice chancellors in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, will retire on May 2. She has worked at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for 23 years.

The entirety of that time has been in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor supporting two senior vice chancellors and many assistant and associate vice chancellors.

“As the face of our office for so many years, Juanita’s steady presence is well-known on campus,” said Renee Batman, assistant vice chancellor and chief administrative officer for the office. “She is always professional, friendly, and helpful — and she knows how to have fun at work, too. We will miss seeing her every day.”

Prior to her service on campus, Jackson-Stoner spent many years in the public sector including time as administrative secretary to three Omaha mayors and as an administrative assistant to then senator, and former Lincoln mayor, Chris Beutler.

An open house to celebrate her retirement will be 2-5 p.m. May 2 in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, 208 Canfield Administration Building South. The celebration is open to the campus community.

A virtual card is available for the campus community to sign.
