Information Technology Services’ Academic Technologies team will be hosting a semester-long lecture series covering their most popular services. Each session will include an overview of the service with time for questions at the end.

Registration is required; participants will receive via email a list of the sessions they attend as proof of professional development in mid-December when the series has concluded.

One Button Studio and Lightboard

• Sept. 7, 10-11 a.m.: UNL has two One Button Studios that are available for students and faculty to use. A Lightboard is an option at the OBS in the Dinsdale Learning Commons. You will see how these studios work and how they could be used in your course. Register here.

Zoom Security Options

• Sept 13, 10-11 a.m.: This training will take a closer look at Zoom’s security options. Zoom has added a few options this year and made them easier to access. Register here.

Akindi – Bubble Sheet Exam Tool in Canvas

• Sept. 20, 10-11 a.m.: Akindi is the new bubble-sheet scanning alternative for paper-based tests and quizzes. Integrated with Canvas, Akindi allows you to print your own test sheets, distribute them, and scan them all with a multi-purpose scanner and printer. You then upload the data files into the system, get immediate results, and write grades directly into the Canvas gradebook. Learn how to get the most out of Akindi in this informative session. Course Evaluations and Surveys – Instructor Dashboard

• Tuesday, Nov. 8, 10-11 a.m.: Course Evaluations and Surveys (CES—formerly EvaluationKIT) is our campus course evaluations software. In this session, you’ll learn all what you can do in the instructor role. From monitoring a Response Rate Tracker, to creating and attaching survey questions, to viewing and creating reports and more, this demo will prepare you for the upcoming semester’s course evaluation deployment season.
