Issue blocking campus calls to new health center is resolved

University Health Center at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln

The university is working with Windstream to resolve a phone dialing issue between campus phone lines and the new University Health Center.

Editor’s Note — The issue with using the university’s five-digit phone number system to reach the University Health Center has been resolved.

Windstream is working to resolve an issue with the transfer of phone numbers to the new University Health Center.

Callers attempting to reach to the University Health Center using campus phone lines and dialing the shortened, five-digit system are not being connected. Health center numbers can be successfully reached via campus phone lines by first dialing 9 then the complete 10-digit phone number — for example, the health center’s main line of 402-472-5000.

Telecommunications staff from the university are working with Windstream to resolve this issue.

The University Health Center is currently closed as it moves into its new facility at 550 N. 19th St. It opens for business on July 16. Learn more about the new facility.
