Jill O’Donnell, director of the Yeutter Institute; and Matthew Schaefer, professor of international trade law at the University of Nebraska College of Law, will lead a College of Business Power Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25 in Howard L. Hawks Hall, Room 202. The presentation will discuss the legal, policy, business and diplomatic angles of new trade developments.

The talk will include an introduction on U.S. trade remedy laws and their historical and current use, legal processes created for obtaining exemptions to increased import duties recently imposed by the U.S., an update on WTO dispute settlement cases involving the U.S., and an update on NAFTA renegotiations and other trade negotiations.

Any organizations or legal professionals interested in international trade are welcome to attend. For interested students, the program is also approved for one hour of CLE credit (activity number 164291).

The cost for attending is $49, which includes lunch and parking validation in the 14th and Avery garage. Registration is available online.
