Ignite Lincoln 14 looks to bring members of the Lincoln community onstage to share ideas. The event will be at 7 p.m. on August 11 at the Rococo Theatre.

Participants on stage will share ideas, in five minutes and 20 presentation slides, that will spark imagination, inspire, educate and build a better community.

Ignite started in Seattle, Wash., in 2006 and has since spread across the globe. The organization asks the question, "If you had five minutes on stage, what would you say?"

Ignite will give away $7,000 to local nonprofits that ignite passion in our community. The audience will get to live vote which organizations walk away with awards of $3,000; $1,750; $1,000; $750; and $500 at the end of the night. All event costs are covered by sponsors so that 100% of ticket proceeds go directly to five nonprofit finalists.
