In a call for thankfulness after a semester like no other — one that has called for the campus community to limit contact and stay apart to thwart a global pandemic — Huskers responded predominantly with stories about how they are grateful for others.
Through Nov. 25, Nebraska Today is featuring thankful moments from Huskers — from life-changing experiences to simple moments of joy. This “Huskers Send Thanks” series includes a handful of individual feature stories alongside these notes of thanks. Click here to see all the thankfulness stories.
Flip through the cards and you’ll learn that Huskers are thankful for support from campus colleagues and that the dedication of students leaves a lasting impact on faculty. The semester has also led to extra pride in the university, including from alumna Angie Taylor whose son is a first-year student and second-generation Husker.
Here in the news division of University Communication, we are grateful for each one of our readers (especially you), as well as the incredible amount of work and dedication it took for our campus leaders, students, faculty and staff to finish this never-to-be-forgotten semester. We are also thankful to each campus communicator who helps keep Nebraska Today rolling along; to Katie Black for her design work on this project; and to Taylor DeMaro for helping curate thankful messages.
