Husker Venture Fund makes student, economic impacts

Spotlight: College of Business Husker Venture Fund

As the university enters the third year of the strategic plan, campus leaders recently gathered to discuss progress made toward the document’s six aims and related goals. Videos from the discussions are being released through April 25 with a weekly theme tied to each of the N2025 aims. The first video published March 21 with a focus on the university’s work to offer experiential learning opportunities to every Husker.

In this spotlight video, Kathy Farrell, dean of the College of Business, explains the new Husker Venture Fund, which gives students experience investing real dollars in Nebraska startup businesses. It creates hands-on learning opportunities while also being an economic driver in the state. The Venture Fund was recently featured in the Lincoln Journal-Star.
