The University Health Center is offering flu shot clinics for students, faculty and staff.

The flu shots are free for all students and $35 for faculty and staff.

Students can receive a flu shot at rapid walk-in clinics on City and East campuses or by making an appointment at the University Health Center.

The student walk-in clinics are 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 10, 12, 19 and 20 at the University Health Center, Room 158, or noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 18 at Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Hall, Room 125. Additional walk-in clinics will be offered throughout the semester.

For faculty and staff, the University Health Center is offering flu shot appointments from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 16 and 17. The appointments are first come, first served and must be scheduled in advance by calling 402-472-5000.

Employees who have not made an appointment at the health center since June 2016 should plan to arrive 20 minutes before an appointment to complete paperwork.

A limited number of faculty and staff appointments are being offered outside of Oct. 16 and 17. Call to check for availability.

The University Health Center does not plan to offer walk-in clinics for faculty and staff as it is unable to submit charges to insurance for the walk-in option.

Students will need to bring their NCard to receive their shot at UHC, and it is recommended that students, faculty and staff bring a completed 2017-18 influenza vaccination form.

Students 18 or younger must have parental permission to receive a flu shot.

The University Health Center, which is managed by Nebraska Medicine, offers Fluarix Quadrivalent flu shots, which protect against four flu viruses.
