Visitors to the Great Plains Art Museum can get an in-depth look at “Cowboys from the Collection,” on view through April 28, by attending a free docent-guided tour of the exhibition every Saturday at 2 p.m.

Tours are free and open to public and do not require registration.

Museum docent Bob Peterson will lead visitors through many iterations of the cowboy, ranging from portraits to action scenes.

The exhibition was made possible by Humanities Nebraska, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.

The Great Plains Art Museum, 1155 Q St., is open to the public 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free.

For those who can’t make it to the museum on Saturday, free guided tours are available at other times upon request. Please request tours via the museum’s website by completing a tour request form.

Check the museum’s website or Facebook page for any last-minute cancellations.
