After 42 years of service — primarily working on construction projects for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln — Joe Goodwater will retire in June. A retirement celebration is 2 to 4 p.m. June 2 in the Dinsdale Family Learning Commons, Room 202.

From the Utility Plant to Facilities, Planning and Capital Programs, Goodwater has provided support on more than 600 projects. Recent and notable projects include the new outdoor track, Carolyn Pope Edwards Hall, Dinsdale Family Learning Commons, Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts, Morrill Hall 4th Floor, University Health Center and College of Nursing, and the Westbrook Music Building replacement.

The retirement reception is open to the campus community.
