Global Opportunities Fair is Oct. 30

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln was named a "Greatest Growth Institution" by the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program. The award honored the university's work to increase study abroad opportunities for students.

Students of all majors and minors are invited to the second annual Global Opportunities Fair, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30 in Hawks Hall Atrium.

The event is a partnership between Nebraska’s global studies, international business, anthropology and geography programs, along with the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. A variety of employers and organizations will be present global opportunities for students.

Employers include:

  • American Red Cross
  • Department of Health and Human Services
  • ReSource Pro
  • Sandhills Global
  • Valmont Industries
  • JET Programme
  • PeaceCorps

Community organizations include:

  • Asian Community and Cultural Center
  • Lincoln Literacy
  • Lutheran Social Services
  • UNL Passport Office

Programs include:

  • Boren Scholarship and Fellowship Program
  • Office of Fellowships
  • Education Abroad
