Genealogy Over Lunch eyes tools to uncover relatives on the run

Casey Hoeve, head of content and collections for the University Libraries, will give a presentation via Zoom during a Genealogy Over Lunch presentation at 11:30 a.m. July 16.

Hoeve will discuss the use of genealogical tools, both traditional and modern, and his research process of discovering the origin and migration of his ancestor, an escaped slave, and his journey from North Carolina to Michigan.

Genealogy over Lunch is a University Libraries’ group designed to help individuals explore and organize family history, which meets every third Thursday of the month. The group welcomes all faculty, staff and students.
