Free fitness classes offered for spirit week

Campus Recreation is offering free group fitness classes as part of Spirit Week Oct. 24–28.

Attendants are encouraged to dress up according to the themed days below to win giveaways at each class, including Scooter’s Coffee gift cards, glass tumblers and stickers with inspirational quotes.

Two grand prize drawings of an All-Class Passes will also be held. Pass holders who dress up and bring a friend without a current pass can enter to win an All-Class Pass for spring 2017. Non-pass holders can enter to win one for the remainder of fall 2016 by attending any of the free classes or using their one-time free class pass.

Themed days include:

Jungle Monday — Oct. 24

Wear anything related to the jungle (animal shirts, animal print, camouflage). Free classes include: Rec and Wellness Center, 7 a.m. Cardio Core; Campus Rec Center, 7 p.m. HIIT Strength

Twin Tuesday — Oct. 25

Dress up with a friend in similar outfits and work together to complete partner workouts in class. Individuals who bring a friend who doesn’t have an All-Class Pass will earn extra chances to win a grand prize. Free classes include: Rec and Wellness Center, 12:15 p.m. Cycle Barre Fusion; Campus Rec Center, 5 p.m. Total Body Tone

Husker Red Wednesday — Oct. 26

Show your Husker pride by wearing your favorite game day apparel. Free classes include: Rec and Wellness Center, 5 p.m. Cardio Kickboxing; Campus Rec Center, 5 p.m. Vinyasa Yoga

Throwback Thursday — Oct. 27

Come dressed up in your favorite decade to rock out to throwback tunes in all the group fitness classes. Free classes include: Rec andWellness Center, 7 p.m. Barre; Campus Rec Center, 3 p.m. Booty Camp/Hard Core

Freaky Friday — Oct. 28

Come dressed up in your favorite decade to rock out to throwback tunes in all the group fitness classes. Free classes include: Rec and Wellness Center, 7 p.m. Barre; Campus Rec Center, 3 p.m. Booty Camp/Hard Core
