Family Weekend at Nebraska kicks off Sept. 20

Family Weekend

Parents and families of students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln are invited to join in on the festivities of this year’s Family Weekend, slated to run from Sept. 20 through Sept. 22.

The two-day event, hosted by Student Affairs, is free for all families and students.

“Parents and family members are critical partners in students’ education,” said TJ McDowell, assistant vice chancellor of Student Affairs. “Family Weekend is a great opportunity for attendees to connect with students in their atmosphere, get to know other Husker families and participate in a variety of fun activities together.”

Those wishing to attend can register here. A substantial amount of walking is involved, and participants with small children or family members who need assistance with walking may find a stroller or wheelchair to be helpful.

This weekend’s highlights include:

With appearances on HBO, the Sci-Fi Channel, the CW and NBC, Bott’s innovative and distrinct brand of comedy mentalism has enthralled audiences worldwide. Nebraska students and families can attend the free performance at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in the Nebraska Union Auditorium.
