Fall career fairs slated for Sept. 20-24

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Career Services is hosting a series of career fairs, beginning Sept. 20.

A virtual Career Fair for actuarial science is planned for 4-6 p.m. Sept. 20. The annual fall, in-person Career Fair will take place Sept. 21-24 in the Nebraska Union’s Centennial Room. The Career Fair will be held Sept. 21-23 from noon-4 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 24.

An additional, virtual Career Fair will be held from noon-4 p.m. on Oct. 12 and 13.

Career Services organizes a Career Fair each fall and spring semester for undergraduate and graduate students.

Career Services offers free, personalized career coaching for all students throughout the year.

Here are a few things the office recommends doing before the fairs begin:

  • Update your resume and Handshake profile
  • Get your “elevator pitch” ready
  • Set up and test out a professional Zoom background
  • Prepare a list of questions for each employer
