The Nebraska History Museum’s latest exhibition, “Crafting Culture: Women and the Business of Textiles in Nebraska,” will open with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. April 12 at 131 Centennial Mall N.

Created through a partnership with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design and Lincoln’s Asian Community and Cultural Center, the exhibition celebrates the state’s female textile entrepreneurs and crafters. It will be on display through July 13.

The opening reception will feature the following activities:

• A panel discussion with young women entrepreneurs in textiles
• A pop-up shop with locally made crafts for sale by immigrant women whose work is featured in the exhibit
• Craft activities for children
• Exhibit tours in multiple languages
• Read-aloud stories from Africa, China and the Middle East
