Diversity, inclusion office to host webinar March 30

Depending on your role as a TA, the transition from classroom to online may have a small impact or a much more significant impact on your teaching.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will host a Zoom webinar for instructors, Implementing Inclusive Excellence Principles into Virtual Learning Environments, beginning at 12 p.m. March 30.

Drawing on the standards of inclusive excellence, this webinar will provide resources and strategies for instructors to continue teaching in ways that are equitable and inclusive in a remote teaching and learning environment.

The session will introduce communication, connection, engagement and interaction strategies aimed at better supporting students — with an emphasis on low-income students, students of color, first-generation college students and international students — during this period of unprecedented disruption.

If you are unable to attend but would like to receive the link to the recorded session, please register online. The office will send a link to all registered participants once the video is available.

Sign up for the webinar here. Zoom information will be sent via email before the event.
