Dish It Up summer series wraps with Aug. 11 session

This is the second year the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS) has hosted the multicultural hall of fame event.

OASIS will hold the last installment of the Dish it Up summer series noon to 1:30 p.m., Aug. 11.

The virtual session will be led by a panel who will discuss and answer questions about the book, “How to be an Anti-Racist,” by Ibram X. Kendi.

The panel is Kara Viesca, associate professor in teaching, learning and teacher education; Collette Yellow Robe, assistant director of non-cognitive development and leadership for the university’s TRIO Programs; Amanda Morales, associate professor in teaching, learning and teacher education; and John Raible, associate professor in teaching, learning and teacher education.

The objective of the session will be to provide a safe space for faculty, staff, students, friends of the University and the local community to discuss the topic of anti-racism. The panelists will answer questions and discuss the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s anti-racism journey.

Register here for this session of Dish It Up. Questions can be emailed to oasis@unl.edu.
