The String Beans are helping the University of Nebraska–Lincoln celebrate its 150th anniversary by releasing “They Went to Nebraska,” a new song that features some of the university’s most famous alumni.

The song was written and produced by the Lincoln-area band, which is celebrating its 15th year of entertaining children and families. Band members include Curt Bright, a broadcast specialist with University Communication, on guitar; Randy Bright, vocals; Daniel Christian, drums; and Bret Welstead, bass.
