COVID-19 booster clinics open to all vaccine varieties

Next booster opportunity is Oct. 30

Per federal guidance, faculty, staff and student employees (graduate and undergraduate) who have previously received a COVID-19 vaccine qualify for a booster shot.

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department is holding regular booster clinics, including an Oct. 30 event at Lincoln East High School. The clinics are open to all, regardless of the vaccine previously received.

To qualify, individuals who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine may select a Moderna or Pfizer booster. To qualify, at least two months must have passed since completion of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Individuals who originally received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine can also select either booster variety when scheduling an appointment. However, it must be at least six months since the final dose of Pfizer or Moderna.

Those attending the clinics must bring their vaccination cards and plan to wait 15 minutes following the vaccination. Appointments for the clinics can be made here.
